James L. Esposito, Esquire

James L. Esposito has over twenty years of experience in local property tax appeals and residential real estate closings, beginning with his clerkship to the Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Tax Court. Jim has served as Lead Counsel to municipalities and property owners throughout the State in appeals of residential and commercial properties throughout New Jersey. In his role as a transactional attorney, Mr. Esposito represents individuals, estates and trusts buy and sell residential homes and investment properties.

Mr. Esposito has also represented municipalities and property owners in tax appeals involving claims of exemption from local property tax for religious and/or charitable purposes and counseled public and private clients on a multitude of property tax exemptions.

Mr. Esposito has been a guest speaker before the International Association of Assessing Officers, the Association of Municipal Assessors of New Jersey and CLE International’s Eminent Domain Conference. Jim has also appeared as a speaker on various local property tax panels during the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Annual Conference in Atlantic City. Jim has served on the Supreme Court Committee on the Tax Court for eight years and was recently appointed to the Supreme Court’s Subcommittee on the Impact of Technological & Social Media on the Practice of Law.
